I attended Latta Highschool and went on to graduate from East Central University in 1983. I worked on an Early Childhood masters at UCO from 1985-86.
I have attented the Model Schools conference at Florida in July 2016.
I began teaching at Francis in 2004 and taught prek till 2017 when I began teaching 2nd grade. Wow!!! What an adjustment! Each grade level brings challenges and I am loving being in 2nd!
I began teaching in August 1983 at Amber-Pocasset Schools. While there, I taught 5th & 6th Social Studies, P.E., 2nd , and Transitional First. In 1987, I moved back to Ada to teach Transitional First at Homer, where I stayed for one year. During that year, I married my husband who was in school at Texas Tech so I moved there and taught 3rd grade in Slaton ISD for three years. After having my first child and moving back to Oklahoma, I was blessed to stay at home for 13 years!
I am married to David Hendricks, who is a civil engineer, and we have three grown children. We live in the Byng area and absolutely love the community. My pride and joy is my two year old granddaughter, Caroline Pearl! She is our sunshine! Running a close second is our dog, Charlie!
When I am not teaching, I love keeping our granddaughter and I also enjoy camping. My husband and I spent two weeks in South Dakota this past May and absolutely fell in love with that state! We love traveling to see the beauty and uniqueness of each state!
