PreK
I graduated from Ada High School in 2003 and started my college career at East Central University that following fall. I then moved to St. Gregory’s University in 2004 and finished my undergraduate degree in psychology from SGU in 2007. I took a break from college for a while and had my two girls, but then decided to go back and get my Masters Degree in Elementary Education from East Central University in 2012.
My under graduate degree is in psychology and my masters degree is in Elementary Education.
I have attended workshops on different curriculum’s such as Handwriting Without Tears andPayne Education Center’s Energizing Readiness.
I started teaching pre-k at Francis Elementary in the 18-19 school year. This was my first time to work with the district as a staff member and not a parent.
Before coming to Byng, I taught pre-k at Ada Schools for 2 years, and did a parent involvement program for Ada Schools for 7 years before that.
I am married to my best friend, Randy, and have been for 11 years now. We have three precious children, Piper, Pepper, and Payne. Piper and Pepper attend Byng schools and Payne will in the next couple of years. We have 4 dogs and a donkey. They sure do keep us busy!
Outside of the classroom, I love to be outside. Whether that is swimming, playing sports, working around the house, or catching a ballgame. I also love to watch my kids play sports and get pedicures!
