I am starting at Francis Elementary this Fall 2023 in the Behavioral Room for K-3rd Grade. I teach students with all ability levels in a behavior room ranging from grades Kindergarten to 6th Grade. I teach all subjects in a small group setting along with teacher’s assistants to provide support.
I have taught in the behavioral room within Ada District Schools for over 5 years ranging in grades K-6. I’ve always been in a Special Education room since I’ve been teaching. Before returning to ECU to get a degree in Elementary Education I was a counselor for children grades 1-12 in the El Reno and Kingfisher area. After being an outreach counselor within the schools I moved on to working in sales along with college recruiting. I met my husband in 2004, then we had our first son Benjamin in 2007, at which time we moved back to Ada. I was a stay-at-home mom when we had our second son Jake. Once both boys became school age I went back to school for a second degree knowing that my true talents lie with working in a classroom.
I married my husband Shane in 2006. We had our first son Benjamin in 2007, our second son Jake 2009, and we have a 10 year old dog named Biscuit!
I love to Crappie fish in a pond close to town. I like to have a workout routine a few times a week to decompress and having cookouts with family and friends.
