NOTE: IF you already have a Parent Account and need to add another student, Log in to your parent account, select 'Account Preferences,' then click 'Add' under the 'Students' tab. 

PowerSchool – Parent Account Set-Up

The first time you log in to PowerSchool, you must create a new Parent account to access your student’s information. This is completed by a short process with the following steps: You can add multiple children to your one-parent account.

*IF you currently have ANY students attending Byng schools, you already have a parent account and can add students once logged in. Please try the “Forgot Password” option first if you cannot log in. 

Power School Parent Portal Setup

  Go to the PowerSchool Website for Parents  

1:  Click the “Create Account” tab.

2: Click the “Create Account” button.

3:  You will then create a new Username and Password (you decide those) that YOU will use to log in to PowerSchool. Next, complete the "link students" part of the form, and please note that the “Access ID” and the “Access Password” are case-sensitive. 

The student's school office may request an access ID and Access Password. (Students new to the district will have the ID/PASS emailed as a part of the new student enrollment process)

4:  Make sure to add all your children under the “Link Students to Account” section before proceeding.

5:   Scroll to the bottom of the page when finished and click “Enter."

6:  This will take you to the login screen. Use your new Username and Password. If you enter more than one student, the names of all the students will be located at the left atop the box of things you wish to see. Once signed in, you will need to set up any email notifications or personalization options you had set up previously. Hopefully, this upgrade will make it easier for you in the long run, albeit a short process to start.
