Byng Indian Education Committee / JOM PAC Special Meeting

Parents/guardians of Byng JOM and Title VI students are invited to participate in the annual review of Byng School’s Indian Parent Plan (IPP).  You are invited to:

  • Review the Indian Parent Plan posted on the Students and Parents: Native American Students web link above.
  • Submit comments and questions regarding the IPP through email to carrie.boyd@byngschools.org .
  • Attend a public meeting on, December 11, 2023, at 5:30 PM in the Byng Elementary School Library.

Recognition for Student Achievement

Many of our students are eligible for recognition and incentives for achievement after completion of the first semester of the school year!  Parents are responsible for coordinating nominations with a school official and submitting applications to their individual tribe’s education department.  For additional information, please CLICK on the following tribal links:

Other tribes not listed above may also have Honor Clubs for school-age children. We will update the list as we receive information. We encourage families to contact their tribe directly and ask about student resources, including Honor Clubs.  

 

School Supply Distribution for 2023-24

  • All Byng, Francis, and Homer JOM students will receive back-to-school supplies for 2023-24.  Please watch our website and the JOM Facebook Page for additional information.  If you have questions, please contact Carrie Boyd, JOM Director, at carrie.boyd@byngschools.org .   

  • School Supplies for JOM Students - Students needing basic supply refills (paper, notebooks, pencils, etc.) throughout the school year may contact Carrie Boyd, JOM Director, at carrie.boyd@byngschools.com.
